    • My entry for the Sci-Fi Short Story Competition is now complete. Wish me luck. It is available here: http://www.circalit.com/michaelvank/projects/project_1330810783/ Please take the time to write me a review, as this forms part of the competition criteria, thanks.

    • @cheryl: You're right, that line is set as action rather than dialogue. I'm not going to worry, it's clear enough. Well, when somebody actually takes it up you can watch it (then I'll have to write the other episodes) :-) But kids TV is screwed in the UK. The BBC won't touch it because the protagonist is "too old" (even though their most successful kids shows have protagonists of that age - madness). And the commercial broadcasters are refusing to do any original kids TV. Ah well, it makes a good sample.

    • Wish I had the TV writing gene... completely in awe of people who can write in that format. :] Oh, don't know if this is any help, the last line of dialogue in AIR looks like an extra line got in and shifted it left, instead of under the character name. I'm completely hooked on AIR's world and feel like I should be tuning into BBC America to catch an episode!

    • I'll take a look when you post it. I prefer to write for TV too, never got to the next round for Rrp this year. But hoping maybe one day. You did great getting through in 2008 :) hopefully more to come for you.

    • @cheryl: glad it made you whoop :-) I meant it. Feel free to read Air - that's why it's there. (To be honest Air and a thing I wrote called Monsters are unquestionably my best stuff, I really prefer TV to film.) @lee: I'm there. (Or will be soon.) @sunnyd: Hi Dawn - well, there'll be my LSF entry tonight sometime. But there's amazing competition, I'm not expecting to win - and that's not false modesty, I'm quite annoyed about the quality of entries but in a good way :-) @paul: well, I hope I helped, I'm not always tactful. But you may well find you don't need as much exposition as you think you do.
