    • Thanks for the read DavidK and yes, I agree with your assessment of the story, and yes, the director basically told me as much - he didn't think he could do it justice in the time allotted.

    • He ended up going with a monologue, if you could believe that. He said he was "stunned" that I came up with something so "gripping" in a few hours, but that he'd be making "a" film instead of my film because with one day he could do justice to the lighting (or lack of), the mood, etc.

    • Graham, Thanks for checking it out and yes, as a matter of fact it was written for a stranded producer who had a hospital set booked for a day and his writer flaked out. We were given the location, the protagonist (male, aged 50 or so) and who he had for support. And of course had to keep it to 6 pages (a day's shoot). And it was written in five hours... But the director said he couldn't do justice to the mood I set in just a day's time, so he passed...
