Thanks for reading and commenting on "Stitches," samiam. It was a challenge to write because I am utterly fascinated by the Commune and the Siege of Paris as well, and wanted to do the period justice as much as I could.
Hi asalberg,
'Stitches' is intriguing - the seige and commune are a fascinating and heart-breaking period, I'm surprised it has not been dramatised more. In some ways, the seige-commune was like putting society into an agar dish and seeing how things played out. Lots of possibilities with that subject matter.
My entry for the Sci-Fi Short Story Competition is now complete. Wish me luck.
It is available here: http://www.circalit.com/michaelvank/projects/project_1330810783/
Please take the time to write me a review, as this forms part of the competition criteria, thanks.
