A citizen of the world who strongly believes in the faculties of perfection and imagination obtaining from Knowledge. I hope that whatever is written here does (and will) reflect it and more. Words cannot express everything but suffice it to note that language, when used with innocence and sincerity in seeking knowledge, is a bliss and a space where the struggle for expression goes on unabated to reach wisdom. In a nutshell, I take toward life an attitude of someone who wants to know and learn and pay respect to the Great. There is still upon this round Earth of ours what with which we shall live to make the port of Eden. My words will flow down the wind if they fail to assist and dovetail with my works and these are animated by sincerity, patience and the quest for truth. Thus, what I state and how I state it and what I do and how I do it time will serve and hamper and such is the image of my Being. My name is Chokri Omri, English language teacher, translator, writer and poet from Tunisia: A Sweet and Revolutionary Homeland, a place to be from. I seek to be simple and look forward into offering a number of contributions in the Open Fields of Literature, Translation and Theory. My vision has it that windows on Earth and Eden are there for us to open, see the world through, read the elements carefully and modestly through knowledge. Then, we throw away the blinkers and dream. Then, we wake up and work hard and see how Life is to be spent at once righteously, truthfully and beautifully. "He has achieved success who has lived well, laughed often and loved much; who has gained the respect of intelligent men and the love of little children; who has filled his niche and accomplished his task; who has left the world better than he found it, whether by an improved poppy, a perfect poem, or a rescued soul."
