Stories fill my mind such as sand fills a vase.
CJX born Christopher Joseph in Dayton, Ohio many moons ago, embodying on a writing quest once a mysterious Smith Cornona typewriter appeared on his home’s porch in Yellow Springs, Ohio. Still unbeknownst where the typewriter came from, CJX has typed out over 20 stories, usually now on computer, but still occasionally banging one out on the old standard.
Becoming a novelist ironically was not the first manifestation of CJX’s artistic goals. Embellishing first in cartoons and short stories in grade school, many marveled and encouraged CJX’s storytelling abilities, but scoffed at his grammatical skills. Discouraged, CJX submersed himself in the Midwest music and marketing industry after completing Wright State University’s Liberal Arts program, hoping to quench his artistic thirst.
As the industry busted, life as we all can predict as unpredictable threw CJX a curve ball, spending many years working odd jobs to support his growing family, now including four children. Still promoting and marketing music, CJX has returned to school at Full Sail University to master the art of Internet Marketing.
Initially diving into screenplays, hoping to stumble on that big score, CJX realized the pratfalls of the elite film industry, but did discover how easily stories flowed onto paper. Encouraged by friend and fellow author C. Kelly Robinson, (No More Mr. Nice Guy.) CJX adapted his screenplay “Zeke’s Kitchen” into a manuscript, “Eat @Zeke’s”.
A label of love since 1995, fashioned for the hot urban gangsta literature market, CJX presents “Roadkill”.
As a double threat with screenplays and manuscripts ranging from drama, comedy, sci-fi, horror, and romance ready, CJX’s artistic journey is bound now to blast off.
