The Wee Green Cubicles Of Ireland (first 30 pgs)
This starts a little slow, but builds nicely. Some parts are rather predictable, but that's not the end of the world - most movies are reasonably predictable. The lead character is likeable and we are already pulling for her in the first thirty pages. There are also some clever lines of dialogue that keep things interesting (e.g. "fate sounds like a drug dealer"). I was going to say that the first thirty pages seemed a bit too sedate, but then there's the confrontation in the last line or two which promises to deliver some real action, drama, and maybe comedy in the coming pages. Overall, it seems headed in the right direction. To be candid, it's looking like more of a rom-com (which are almost always high on rom and low on com) than a comedy - which is okay, but does probably have implications for marketing. The writing is easy to follow and not awkward - which is a major plus. As an aside, I am so glad that there is not a back-home sorta/kinda boyfriend who is either a jerk or boring -- that is such a cliche in rom-com. You have a nice screenplay here (from what I can tell) -- best of luck with it.
