I'm not sure if understood this, but I really enjoyed it.
You have a very natural style, and the story flowed really well. The meaning I took from it, is that when we are most upset with a partner, we focus on the small stuff because what is actually happening in front of us is often too big to cope with. The dishwasher seems to be the main focal point here... The main character gets his own back by punishing his girlfriend in the worst way, by taking his own life, and thereby, also punishing himself. We've all been there... (Well, maybe not quite so extreme!)
I liked this, a lot, though I'm not sure if I got the right end of the dishwasher?
