    • Hey Danielle, I was wondering if I could send you something for your opinion. Nothing long, a paragraph in fact. I promise! Would really appreciate it. Drop me an email if it's OK. Thanks Marlon marleycrew@hotmail.com

    • After reading your reply, I can totally see what you mean, that it's the Old Man's life and I really really like it even though it went way over my head. I think I missed it because I was under the impression that the people and places he was running passed were all set in the modern day. But as I said, it's a great idea!

    • Sorry, one more thing. I do know the thing you mentioned about writing numbers and I did think about it carefully before choosing the title. I thought fuck it I'm going with the number instead of the word because it looks better, simple as. I'm sure you'll sleep easy with that knowledge!

    • Hi :) Thank you so much for your review. As it happens I wasn't aware of the grammar and punctuation mistakes but I know for certain that I suck at both. And thank you for pointing out the V/O errors, I read it through a bunch of times and managed to miss them each and every one. With regards to fade in and out, I never ever write them because I hate fades. As for the passage that he reads, for me it is talking about not wasting any time and doing things maybe you wouldn't ordinarily do because life is too short. Blink and it's gone kind of thing. I chose that book because it inspired me a lot and motivated me more. It also made me want to take copious amounts of LSD and drive around in a day glo school bus but that I'm yet to do. I know that it's badly written, I lent my copy of the book out and had to scour the internet for it, so I should probably get it back. The tube never goes outside, the only time it's light is when it's in a station. I'll try and make that more clear. I'm glad you enjoyed it, I was really unsure how the V/O would come across, especially since it's his immediate thoughts as opposed to the more conventional use of it to tell part of a story that's not being seen. I'll also let you in on a terribly kept secret - it's not even remotely fiction. Other than the fact I didn't use my name and I was actually reading 'One Flew Over the Cuckoo's Nest', it's all true! Anyway, your review was great and I really appreciate you taking the time to write it. I will definitely sort out those basic errors and I'll try and work out what's missing. And FYI, if you have any, suggestions are more than welcome! Thanks again Marlon

    • Hi, hope all’s well. Just to let you know my novel, ‘The Broken Boots Guide to Astlavonia’ has just been published. It’s a black comedy about a debt-ridden divorcee who is sent to Astlavonia, a former soviet state, to write its first ever guidebook but discovers all disputes are settled with a knife. If you’d like to read the first chapter and find out more, please visit www.nathanbraund.com. Please help an unknown writer by telling your friends. Thanks very much. Nathan astlavonia@yahoo.com
