In a future where we live in space stations tethered above the dying earth, a woman explains the decisions of her generation to the daughter who now faces their consequences.
An eldery woman wanders between beloved memories of her childhood in the last day's of humanity's life on earth, and her decision to take her unborn child up the immense lifts to the space stations known as the 'tethers', where they now live.
Part justification, past apology to her daughter, who now plays a major role in deciding humanity's future, the woman atttempts to make her daughter see that they cannot sit and wait in the tethers any longer, but must act, one way or another, before the earth dies.
To this end, she makes a last personal act, that she hopes will make amends for her generation's actions and push her daughter to act for humanity's future.
