Synopsis
The protagonist is a roboticist who has married a younger man late in life with the aim of having a child. Choosing to give birth to her baby the 'old-fashioned' way ends up being both the best and worst decision of her life, as it brings about changes in herself and in her relationship that she has not anticipated, with undreamt-of consequences.
