I don't have any qualifications related to script writing or creative writing, therefore everything I've learned so far has been self taught. I find this rewarding and time consuming in equal measure. My passion is good TV and films, although bad TV and films provide their own sort of entertainment. I'm interested in writing teleplays, and perhaps screenplays, but right now I find myself writing shorts for the most part to try and find my voice I guess. I tend to gravitate toward comedy but I can't help but inject some drama into it. They're not mutually exclusive anyway, are they? I have a few ideas that are bubbling away for feature length scripts and I've written two teleplays so far, though I've found them to be a constantly evolving beast.

    • Hi, hope all’s well. Just to let you know my novel, ‘The Broken Boots Guide to Astlavonia’ has just been published. It’s a black comedy about a debt-ridden divorcee who is sent to Astlavonia, a former soviet state, to write its first ever guidebook but discovers all disputes are settled with a knife. This would be fine if he hadn’t fallen in love with the daughter of the chief of police, a survivor of the Gulag and hater of ‘occupying’ foreigners. If you’d like to read the first chapter and find out more, please visit www.nathanbraund.com. Please help an unknown writer by telling your friends. Thanks very much. Nathan astlavonia@yahoo.com
