I love the basis for the idea you created. The sci-fi part of it, the Brights and the search for 'energy' are Great! And adding the gangs into it is an interesting dynamic. You really have so many neat ideas that you could work with, but I definitely see it as a TV series. I think it's pretty original too and wish you luck.
