I am a 34 year old aspiring screenwriter who has completed four feature length screenplays and have recently optioned a horror script to a producer (Ross Otterman) in Los Angeles but after a year, no financial backing as of yet. This script, "Back Road 32", was previously going to be packaged into a film festival feature similar to the 8 days of horror festival by a company called Woofenill Pictures but the finance company pulled out.I have finished as a semi-finalist in the 2006 Screenplayfestival.com competition for an indie drama I wrote called "Ticket to Nowhere"and have had Benderspink Entertainment shop around another horror script I have written called "Making Afraid". I have written two indie drams and two indie horror films. My influences range from John Hughes to David Lynch and consider much of my subject material somewhere in-between these two dimensions. My favorite director is Oliver Stone and my favorite author is Bret Easton Ellis. I currently reside in the NYC metro area, Stamford, Ct to be exact. I would say most of my ideas and stories start as a conceptualization of ideas I have from music videos I watched when I was a kid on such shows as 120 Minute, Night Tracks, Friday Night Videos, etc. Music always plays an important muse in my writing.
