Synopsis
Montague Rhodes James: Born 1862. Father of the modern ghost story. But from where did he draw his inspiration? From the supernatural phenomena that plagued his life: from demonic marionettes to bloodsucking politicians; from a platoon of undead Tommies to a rescue mission into Purgatory – James tackled them all (with a little help from his eccentric mentor, Prof Middleton, and ballsy con-woman, Denver Colorado).
All the while, his exploits are manipulated by a Machiavellian cabal, The Overseers, whose motives are, as yet, unclear.

- A very well-crafted story, a real page-turner. It reminded me of a mix of 'Toy Story' and 'Woman in Black'. I loved the idea of malevolent toys doing their master's bidding. And the twist with Albert in the final fight scene was a good one. Like some other reviewers, I'd like to have seen evidence earlier on of James' expertise in the paranormal rather than him telling us what he's interested in. And maybe the reveal of Albert's real character at the end could be even more shocking if he takes Clara hostage and threatens to kill her. Have you sent this to agents at all?
