A nicely articulated random pick of fond remembrances. While memories do come at you like that, something more specific about place might pull it together more for the competition requirements. As it is, it could have been any number of places. The Three Graces on Liverpool’s waterfront might be the obvious choice, with your father living a kind of state of grace in the latter period. It might be too on the nose, but your subsequent living in Transylvania seems to hint at some oblique references between that country’s most famous reputed resident and your father: working through the night; the twilight world lived in latterly, the grey dust delivered to you. Is it just a coincidence, or am I over-reading that the two disparate locations can had much the same affect on an individual life?
