In 2008 I started work on a novel. It was terrible. I had no talent for flowery descriptive language. And yet I knew I had some great ideas. So I decided to turn it into a screenplay, and it became 'If You Knew, You'd Never Sleep Again', a screenplay I will upload in the near future. The beautiful prose was no longer required- concise and vivid became what mattered. I can do this, I thought. So here I am.
I have been a fan of film all my life. From singing the words to the songs of Labyrinth at about six years old to watching Platoon with my Dad when I was ten (I recall him turning to me saying 'are you sure you can handle this?'). I remember creeping downstairs late at night to watch the Alien series of films when they came on TV, and an amazing day where me and a friend decided to watch two unfamiliar movies on the same day at the cinema- the equally great Moulin Rouge and AI Artificial Intelligence.
