Synopsis

(Themes: Music, fun, comedy, edgy, gritty, crude, love, loss, sex, drugs, rock & roll)

A band of three small town rock stars descend upon London looking to make it big. Where they come from they’re huge. Sadly London’s movers and shakers don’t read gig reviews in the Smallsville Chronicle! The myth of the Rock and Roll lifestyle comes crashing down around them as they try and make it in the Big City.

As the band van races toward London, hope for the future is high. Pretty boy Jamie can’t wait to be back in the same city as his London based fashion-student girlfriend, and the other boys can’t wait to see…well… any girls. Any. But they quickly realize that their London adventure may not go quite as planned.

Trapped in a shithole of a house with one job between them and no gigs lined up, the friendships immediately come under strain.

The highs and lows of going from hero to zero every Friday night, the women issues, magazine interviews, drug culture, record contracts, financial worries, heartbreaks, broken noses…broken dreams.

We all dream of being rock stars at some point in our lives. London Calling shows us the bittersweet reality in a funny but harsh light. You can shag as many women as you want, you can blag your way into a magazine or two, you can even play a sold out gig but that still doesn’t make you a rock star. Not in London….but It DOES NOT mean that you won’t stop trying. At least Jamie, Rory and Coop won’t.(Themes: Music, fun, comedy, edgy, gritty, crude, love, loss, sex, drugs, rock & roll)
