Good question to provoke similar questions resulting in a debate that would incorporate Man and his continuing scientific research into what the average person would view as a molecular impossibility. As well as of course the Christian's view of what they believe would happen during the Great Rapture.
Wayne Polls re. the neighbour's sex. The first page reads "Christine glances up and catches her neighbour, an elderly *woman*, watching from her upstairs window". Your comment re. said neighbour merely shrugging her response. A good point. I debated this over and over and decided not to follow the filmmakers angle where characters always run from the room screaming their knickers off and instead resorted to the reactions of others' ghostly encounters. Which is often times relayed with (an almost sublime) calmness or in my mother's case..a stoic shrug.
